Gail Weingast, M.D., has an educational and work training history that starts off by her attaining a Bachelors of Arts degree in Spanish, which seems like an odd place to begin when you are talking about a medical doctor. Her degree in Spanish came from Tufts University, Jackson College, in Medford, Massachusetts, from which she graduated in 1969. She then went to Boston University’s School of Medicine in order to attain her Degree in Medicine in 1976. After that, she performed an internship in pediatrics at the Colorado General Hospital in Denver, Colorado, from 1976 until 1977. She did her residency at the same place during the next two years, and then did her residency in Radiology from 1980 until 1983, again at the same hospital. She then did a Fellowship in Ultrasound in 1983. Dr. Gail Weingast’s post-graduate studies were done at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado, from 1983 until 1984.

During the previous twenty years, Dr. Gail Weingast has been working at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She worked first as a radiologist, then as the Chief of Ultrasound, and then as the Chief of Breast Imaging.  Before working at William W. Backus Hospital, Gail Weingast had worked at several other hospitals too, in Colorado and New York.
